In bird hunting there is the partridge(grouse) duck, wild turkey and the woodcock, and many others.
The Ruffed grouse is the most commonly partridge( grouse) hunted.
Above is a spruce partridge. Spruces are said to not be as good eating as the ruffed. The difference of the spruce and the ruffed in the color of feather(spruce is darker) and the spruce has a clear red line above their eye.

The Mallard duck is probably the most commonly hunted duck. Hunters also hunt teal and many others.

The woodcock is a small bird with a long beak. When it flies away it will go straight up while whistling then speed away.
The Wild turkey(above) is a sort of tall bird with a pinkish face.
